Renee Daniels-Mitchell

Renee Daniels-Michael entered the world as a fighter on August 2, 1959 to the late Clarence and Annie Este Daniels in Elizabeth, NJ. 

Renee attended the Elizabeth Public School System, graduating from Batting High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1977. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kean College in 1981 and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration 1 in 1985. She pledged Delta Sigma Theta Omega Sorority North Jersey Alumnae Chapter in 1979. 

Renee was employed as a Special Education Teacher with the  Newark Board of Education for 22 years before her recent retirement in January 2022.

Renee met and married the love of her life Anthony J. Mitchell on October 30, 2004.

 Renee enjoyed spending time with her family and Goddaughter, Sheena, who she loved dearly. She was passionate about teaching and loved her students. The "fashion diva" also enjoyed cooking, reading, singing in the choir, and hosting tea parties and game nights.

 God dispatched his Angles on April 14, 2022 to bring Renee home to receive her heavenly reward.

Renee is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Daniels; father Clarence Daniels; grandmother Rinnie Mae McDaniel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Anthony Mitchell; sister Evon Daniels-Corbett (Richard Corbett).; four nephews, Jimmie Lawson (Keshia Lawson), Xavier Tisdale-Floyd, Delon Tisdale-Floyd, Jeremiah Girenald; three nieces, Talisha Lawson, Tiffany Floyd, Delia Tisdale;; stepchildren, Daniel Seabrooks, Desiree Mitchell; Godchildren, Sheena Grental-Floyd, Jaeson Salter, Damon Pearson; best friends LaShun Alston-Lovett, Lynette Swepson, Sharon Hamilton; and caregiver Cynthia Little.
