Sandra Allmond

Sandra Allmond of Carteret, NJ departed this life on May 16, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Mt. Teman AME Church 160 Madison Avenue Elizabeth, New Jersey. Visitation 9:00 am until the time of service.

The daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Mildred Ringer Mayers was born on August 10, 1950, in Plainfield, NJ. Educated in the Elizabeth Public School System, she attended  Lafayette Elementary School and Battin High School. Sandra became employed by the City of Elizabeth where she worked for the  Mayor as a secretary for several years. She later became employed by the Elizabeth Board of Education as an executive secretary where she retired. Raised in a Christian family Sandra,  was a member of St. Marks A.M.E Church in Cranford, N.J.

Sandra went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2023, in Rahway, New Jersey. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, two sons Omar (Alnesia) and Jerome, and her daughter Al-Nisa(Greg). She leaves to cherish her loving memory, Her children Darrin Mayers, Angela Allmond (Jermaine), and Sharaiyah McClinton-Allmond;  her siblings; Randy Mayers (Connie), Sharon Hayes(Thom), Reggie Mayers (Lucy).  her loving grandchildren Daquan (Kimani), Tatyania (Jaquan), Omar, Nubia, Rafi, and Sincere. Her great-grandchildren Gamir, Gahmil, E’miyah, Jasir, Maliah, A’Jyada, and Kasir. Her nieces and nephews are Rick (Sakeena), Lashon (Nicole), Harry, Tesha (Randy), Randy (Booty)( Rachida) Kareem (Brandy), and Bryanna and a host of loving family and friends.
